Kawasaki is located at the mouth of the Tama River in the Kanagawa prefecture, at central Honshu in Japan , along the Tokyo Bay . It effectively links Tokyo and Yokohama for a heavily industrialized hub. The eastern part coasting along the Tokyo Bay is the center of the Keihin Industrial Area. On the west, are the suburban residential areas. Connecting Kawasaki and the city of Kisarazu in Chiba Prefecture is the bridge-tunnel across Tokyo Bay called the Tokyo Wan Aqualine. And the Haneda Airport Runways are just a stone's throw across the river from the major Kawasaki Port.
