The Land Called Kitakyushu

Kitakyushu features forested mountains, a river valley, coastal lowlands, and the limited plains. The urban areas consist of the residential, industrial, and commercial patches, including some agriculture. With the Shimonoseki Strait at the northern tip of Kyushu Island , it is located at the southernmost of the four main Japanese Islands . The harbor facilities provide the ports, especially on the Strait of Korea side (left of the Shimonoseki Strait ). The Kitakyushu International Airport is located at the west side of the larger peninsula.
