Discover Nagoya
Nagoya, Japan’s fourth-largest city is
located in Aichi prefecture in the geographic centre of the
country. From its ancient roots as a feudal town can be evidenced
in the more than 400 year old Nagoya Castle, a piece of historical
architecture characterized by a pair of golden dolphins on
its roof. The castle town soon gave way to progress with the
city experiencing a major population boom into a thriving metropolis.
Japan’s
World Expo 2005 is located very near Nagoya City, the city’s
airport becoming the main point of entry for thousands of
visitors to the World Expo grounds and attractions.
