Breeder – one
who raises pedigreed animals
Kennel – a shelter where dogs
are trained, bred or boarded
Microchip - a small electric component
that is capable of containing information
Quarantine – a period of time
where an item (animal or product) is kept at its port of entry
under isolation to prevent diseases from entering a country
Rabies – a deadly disease that
attacks the central nervous system and is usually transmitted
through bites of infected animals. This disease commonly afflicts
dogs and cats.
Vaccination – inoculation to
protect a being against a specific disease
