TEFL.com features a list of teaching opportunities worldwide and also posts a promising list of Japanese help wanted ads.

Career Cross Japan has a searchable database where users can specify their preferred location, field of expertise, level of experience,  etc to find a match. It also includes other jobs aside from teaching.

Gaijinpot.com is another web site that lists full- and part-time ESL positions as well as non-ESL opportunities.

FindaTeacher.Net , this free service connects students and teachers for private classes. Just fill out an online form with all the necessary details (contact information, availability, past experience, etc) and wait for interested students to call.
