Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to pass an illness from a patient to the healer?

There are no reports to this effect and such a situation is not expected to happen as the healer only channels Reiki energy and does not give anything of his own self and vice versa.

Does the practice of Reiki have anything to do with religion?

Reiki is not a religion although it is spiritual in nature. Practitioners and recipients of healing are not asked to change their religion and spiritual beliefs.

Is it safe to use Reiki on children?

Reiki can greatly enhance the quality of nurturing given to children as babies and young children are more open and sensitive to the energy than the adult.  However, it is not meant to replace conventional medicine and treatment especially if the child is ill or injured.
