Japanese Pop Culture
Like in most countries, the trend is to adapt and imitate the
media or foreign practices that they get to know about and are
normally exposed to. The Japanese people have exhausted all means
and efforts to develop their own ways of improving and at the
same time adapting such things to their own native culture. Largely
due to the influence of the initial stages of development of
their American counterparts, the exposure and opportunities definitely
opened the minds and imaginations of the Japanese community,
and inspired them to uniquely find ways on how to independently
satisfy their personal interests and cultural developments.
The standard Japanese terminologies which have been spread all
throughout the world to this day has slowly been increasing.
Terms as anime, sushi, and manga, are only some of the common
words and phrases that have become among the common identifiers
for cartoon series, food and comic books respectively. In the
early times, all people could think about are the English versions
of such attached words, but in the recent years, Japan has been
able to effectively sink in some of their more famous cultural
practices and allow these to be part of other national cultures.
This can largely be attributed to the relentless search for
satisfaction and craving by the Japanese community for their
own versions, being far from content with what they are exposed
to. Their creativity, perseverance and dedication towards developing
materials and practices, using the American exposed traditions
as their yardstick, has done wonders for them and has made them
a very critical part of the world famous traditions.
