Regarding food, the Japanese believe that chopsticks
should not be stuck standing up in any food, because at funerals,
chopsticks are placed in rice bowls standing up. They should
also not give food from chopstick to chopstick, as this is
usually done with the bones of a cremated body at a funeral.
Interestingly, the Japanese also believe that if you lie down
immediately after eating, you will become a cow.
