Where to buy them

By and far the most popular Japanese district for gadgets and electronic toys is Akihabara, known as Tokyo’s Electric Town. For people who want to buy their electronic goodies at cheaper prices, this is the way to go, with literally thousands of choices besides. For foreigners, they are encouraged to bring their passports with a valid visa so they can be eligible for special duty free prices.

As most of the staff in the shops is capable of speaking English and other languages, communication is not a problem. Dollars and Euros are accepted, although buyers are also encouraged to make use of their credit cards.
