Origami Books

Origami is one of Japan 's foremost art forms. People of all ages can learn this art. Origami involves the folding of paper into different shapes and forms, resulting in intricate designs. Origami's exact origins are unknown but it is suspected to have begun in China , upon the invention of paper. In Japan , the earliest origami is said to have been used for ceremonial purposes in the Muromachi era, from 1392 to 1573.

Today, people all over the world are welcome to try their hand at origami. One of the simplest ways to learn is through origami books. These books can be found almost anywhere and usually feature diagrams and step by step instructions. Although origami is still considered to be Japan 's own, many books today are created by non-Japanese people. Such is the lure of origami, that even Westerners have strived to master this art.
