Food & Dining
Not only is Ginza famous for its luxurious shopping
stores, it is also well-known for its cafes and bakeries. It
is said that Ginza is the cradle of Melon pan, a bun flavored
with honey-lemon, Ginza Kimuraya is a shop that sells these,
among other food staple, including flavored bread (in coffee
or orange flavor).
Over the Shiseido Parlour, is a ritzy dining
place where lunch could go for about Y4, 000. This restaurant
is owned and operated
by cosmetic giant Shiseido.
The oldest cafe in Japan, Ginza
Cafe Paulista was once a favorite of celebrity couple John
Lennon and Yoko Ono. It is where the
famous $10/cup coffees are sold, with the beans imported
directly from Santos, Brazil.
