Edo Tokyo Museum (Sumida) – A walk through history is offered at this museum, showing life in Japan way back in the 17th century up to the World War II through miniaturized models, replicas and dioramas. The museum also offers special exhibitions and lectures.

Historic Village of Hokaido – This is an open-air museum in Sapporo. The village consists of 60 structures which are normally seen in Hokaido from the Meiji and Taisho Periods. It is divided into different sections from farm villages to mountain village.
