Kasai Seaside Park (Tokyo) – while it is a beach destination, children can also visit the bird sanctuary and the Tokyo Sea Life Park located within. The Tokyo Sea Life Park is a domed aquarium that houses penguins and schools of tuna.

Sunshine City Aquarium, Planetarium and Observatory – Known as the Sunshine 60 Building, this high-rise building features a variety of entertainment that kids can enjoy.

On the eleventh floor of this building is Sunshine International Aquarium home to many marine animals. Sunshine 60 also has a planetarium called the Sunshine Starlight Dome with a number of stars projected on the dome.

Shimoda Sea Water Aquarium – The Shimoda Sea Water Aquarium is nestled right in the bay from which it takes its name. This aquarium houses sea otters and sea lions, as well as the lovable dolphins. Families can frolic on the beach or board one o the “Black Ships” for a cruise in the bay. In addition, a tram goes up to the Nesugata-yama peak that has a spectacular view of the bay.
