When is the climbing season of Mt. Fuji?
Climbing season is during July 1 to August 31.
What happens if
I plan to climb Mt. Fuji during off-season?
It is very dangerous to climb Mt. Fuji during off-season,
so you need to have a special permit from the police to
climb during
this time. This is to help you in case you get lost. Also you
need to be an experienced alpine climber to climb during this
time.
What are the equipment that I need to bring?
You will need your regular climbing gears plus alpine climbing
gears. Adequate clothing because the temperature at the peak
may reach below zero.
What are the mountain huts?
Mountain huts are open the public to provide accommodations,
food and supplies to climbers.
Are there transportations
to bring me to Mt. Fuji trails?
Yes there are buses that can bring you to the trails,
you can also take your car but there are no direct
trains to
bring
you there.
Can I bring my kids to hike the trails?
Yes you may bring your kid/s to hike the trail. The best
trail would be the Kawaguchiko trail. There are several
places to
stop but you must be warned that if ever you bring
your child you
must also be prepared if your child decides to quit
the hike.
