dishes they ordered. It is probably the most popular restaurant
type
among Japanese people.

Family restaurants (famiresu) and Shokudo caters to the varying
tastes of the whole family by serving a wider range or luscious
dishes.

Teishoku-ya
Teishoku-ya are restaurants that sell teishoku (set menus)
which usually consists of a main dish such as a fried fish,
a bowl
of cooked rice and small side dishes. Teishoku-ya are more
popular as lunch places in business areas.
